NOTE: You must be a regularly-attending, trained member of our construction crew leaders team (also known as our "Saints" group) to use this calendar. If you are new to construction with Habitat Waukesha, volunteering for the first time, or only come occasionally, please sign up using the "Construction Volunteer" shift type instead on the Volunter Calendar. If this shift is not available, there is no regular volunteer work on the selected day.
**Please ensure that you have completed the Waiver of Liability form before volunteering!**
Construction days are usually Tuesday + Thursday most weeks, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
What to Wear: Long pants*, closed-toe shoes, and a comfortable short- or long-sleeved shirt that allows you to move. Dress for the weather and be prepared to get dirty.
What to Bring: Bring your own reusable water bottle, snack, or lunch for break time, etc. Lunch will not usually be provided except in the case of sponsored events. All tools are provided on-site.
*Shorts are authorized however be advised there is lots of kneeling on rough/unfinished surfaces.
*Please Note: Volunteers must be 18 years old. Volunteers under 18 may not participate in construction.
If you are interested in becoming a recurring volunteer at the construction site, you may consider completing the series of Habitat safety training courses. The full set of courses takes under two hours to complete and will prepare you to be a safety leader on the worksite.
